Lisa has played in the EMSO percussion section since Fall 2023. This has been her first opportunity to play orchestral percussion, and she has enjoyed learning tambourine, glockenspiel, cymbals, timpani, and other instruments.
Her main instrument is clarinet with a BA in Music from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, where she grew up. In grad school, she started getting a taste for drumming by playing improvisations on djembe and congas in church settings.
Lisa works at 3M as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist with a background in scientific research. She lives in Woodbury and plays clarinet in the Linden Hills Chamber Orchestra.
Her favorite part about playing in an orchestra is being part of a community of musicians. She loves to continually get exposed to amazing repertoire and then be able to share it with a live audience.
