Heart Strings: Reflections of Love and Music

The orchestra will also perform Wagner’s Act I Overture from Die Meistersingers, an opera about the struggle between the forces of tradition and changes in music; selections from Copland’s cowboy ballet Rodeo; and Mozart’s romantic opera Abduction from the Seraglio Overture. All EMSO concerts are free and admission is at the door.

Janet Boots Larson – Percussion

Janet Boots Larson joined EMSO’s percussion section in 2022. Boots taught music in public and parochial schools. She has a master’s in theology and is now retired clergy.
