East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) is pleased to present Symphonie Espagnole.  The concert will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1583 Radio Drive, Woodbury, MN.

Admission to this concert is free.  Donations in support of the orchestra’s work in the community are always appreciated.

Édouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole is a violin concerto featuring Spanish motifs that sparked a brief period of interest in Spanish music in the 1870s. The piece will feature a powerful solo performance by EMSO concertmaster, Aja Majkrzak. The concert will also include Benjamin Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, a fugue and variations which celebrates the many instruments in an orchestra, and Johann Friedrich Fasch’s Sonata for 2 Oboes and 2 Bassoons.

All EMSO concerts are free and admission is at the door.
