EMSO’s Board of Directors grows for the 2024-2025 season

At the annual member meeting in May, East Metro Symphony Orchestra members elected four new people to the orchestra’s Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 concert season.  EMSO is pleased to welcome its new Vice President Genie Meltzer (violin), Treasurer Terry Wilson (bassoon), and Members-at-Large Racheal Frost (violin) and Robin Radke (viola).

“I am very glad for the willingness and enthusiasm of our members to step up and help lead this orchestra,” says EMSO President James Slegers. “EMSO is a volunteer led organization, and we rely on committed individuals to carry out our mission.”

This season’s board has the largest membership the organization has seen since before the pandemic, and Slegers says he is looking forward to things to come. “Two Thousand and Twenty and the following years saw large disruptions in our and many other artistic organizations, including significant turnover in volunteer roles. I am glad to return to a full board who can spread out some of the workload and carry forward all of our tasks in a sustainable way. I am grateful to all the individuals who have stepped up, and look forward to this season and the seasons to come!”

East Metro Symphony Orchestra would like to thank all of its volunteer board members for their leadership and dedication to the orchestra. To find out more about EMSO’s board members, visit the administration page of the website.
