Laura joined EMSO in 2025 after settling back into her home state of MN. She grew up in Rochester where high school band was a huge part of her life. She played a little in college before taking a (long) break from music to focus on school, starting a career as a veterinarian, moving to AZ, and getting married.
She picked up her trumpet again in 2018 with the Scottsdale, AZ community band. Finding music again was a great way to balance the stress of “real life,” so it didn’t take much time to start looking for a community group after moving back to MN! She is enjoying the new atmosphere that comes with a symphony orchestra!
Aside from making music and working, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband wandering a good art fair, diving into a good DIY house project, attending rock concerts, trying new restaurants, and watching Star Trek with a lap cat and a glass of cabernet.
