Michael began playing the violin in the 3rd grade and continued to play in orchestras during college and into adulthood. He began playing with the 3M Club Symphony Orchestra during the final season in 2008-2009 and then with EMSO when it was founded during the 2009-2010 season. He continued to play with the orchestra until the conclusion of the 2014-2015 season. After some time away playing with the Roseville String Ensemble, he returned to EMSO during the 2023-2024 season.
Michael works as a Network Engineer and lives in Blaine, MN with his wife, daughter and their dog.
He currently serves on the EMSO Board of Directors.
