St. Mark’s Lutheran Church

2499 Helen Street North

North St. Paul, MN 55109

In honor of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, music celebrating the unique and diverse influences of America will be the focus of the concert. Soloist, collaborative artist, and educator Amos Lucidi will join the orchestra on piano for George Gershwin’s vibrant and genre blending

Rhapsody in Blue.  EMSO will also perform Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, also known as the New World Symphony, inspired by the composer’s experiences in America in the 1890’s; and José Moncayo’s folk and dance music inspired Huapango.

All EMSO concerts are free and admission is at the door. Donations in support of the orchestra’s work in the community are always appreciated.

Program will include:

Huapango – José Moncayo

Rhapsody in Blue – George Gershwin

Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” – Antonín Dvořák
