Willow joined EMSO in 2025 after encouragement from her friend, and EMSO oboist, Haley Martin.
She played violin for 10 years in school, starting in 1st grade, and even dabbled in upright bass for a year. After putting the violin away during college, she didn’t pick it back up for a decade—but now she’s dusting off the rosin and ready to jump back in.
Music has always been Willow’s go-to for healing and escaping everyday stress. Whether she’s playing music, catching a concert or musical (when her bank account allows), or just listening to one of her many Spotify playlists at home, music has been her constant companion. She’s beyond grateful to be playing violin again and can’t wait to tackle all the challenges and opportunities that come with it.
Willow has a degree in graphic design and strategic communication and currently works as a graphic designer. When she’s not playing violin, you’ll find her with her personality-filled cat Xanadu, lost in a good book, or working on her latest crochet project.
