East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) will start its 15th concert season with Heart Strings: Reflections of Love and Music. The concert will be held Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 2499 Helen Street North, North St. Paul, MN.

Admission to this concert is free.  Donations in support of the orchestra’s work in the community are always appreciated.

This fall concert touches on themes of love, especially the love of music and storytelling though music.  The performance will feature Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3, also known as the Scottish Symphony, which took over 10 years to write.

The orchestra will also perform Wagner’s Act I Overture from Die Meistersingers, an opera about the struggle between the forces of tradition and changes in music; selections from Copland’s cowboy ballet Rodeo; and Mozart’s romantic opera Abduction from the Seraglio Overture.

All EMSO concerts are free and admission is at the door.
