Tack (thanks) to everyone who attended either (or both!) of our Svensk musik och dans (Swedish Music and Dance) concerts in May. It was a full house at both Augustana Lutheran Church in West St. Paul on May 20th and the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis on May 23rd. EMSO’s first time having a performance shown multiple times was a huge success. Our friends and co-performers, the Twin Cities Nyckelharpalag and the Twin Cities Swedish Folk Dancers, were FABULOUS! There was cheering and shouting, dancing (of course), and lots of beautiful music. There was also wonderful art and cookies to share at the receptions! The response from our audience has been joyous. We are so delighted how magnificently these concerts were received.
A huge thank you to our collaborative partners in the Twin Cities Nyckelharpalag and the Twin Cities Swedish Folk Dancers as well as to composer Daniel Kallman. Thanks also to our hosts at Augustana Lutheran Church and the American Swedish Institute for all their help in making this such a wonderful set of events! TACK!
