Joined EMSO in 2017, serving first as a temporary concert master, and then obtaining the position beginning in the 2017-18 concert year.

James Slegers has played with EMSO as a violist since 2016. Prior to EMSO, he has played in the Dordt College Chamber Orchestra, the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra, and the Iowa State Symphony. He has served on the board of EMSO since 2018 and took on the role of President in 2022. Outside of EMSO,
Marsha Pearson plays a Conn 88H instrument. She is a retired music educator. She grew up in River Falls, WI and continues to reside there.
Jeanette Mallery joined EMSO in 2017. She plays a Caprice Deluxe Cleveland violin, 2003. Jeanette works as a paraprofessional at Liberty Ridge Elementary. She has also been an instructor for the Color Guard at East Ridge High School since 2013. She grew up in Woodbury, MN and currently lives in St. Paul. She spent five
Jake Dalbec joined EMSO in 2012. He is the principal percussionist for EMSO. Jake primarily plays timpani along with several rhythm and auxiliary percussion instruments. He works as a senior geologist and project manager in the environmental consulting industry. He grew up in Silver Lake, MN and currently lives in St. Louis Park, MN. He
Kyle Bryson joined EMSO in the winter of 2017. He plays Zildjian cymbals along with many other percussion instruments. He currently works in Product Development at 3M. He grew up in Pennsylvania and now resides in St. Paul, MN. His favorite hobby is jazz music. He is currently serving as EMSO’s Librarian.
Travis Bruns joined EMSO on 2018. He plays a 1986 Polman String bass. Currently working as a veterinary anesthetist. He grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and currently resides in Woodbury, MN. He has many hobbies and interests.
Nahree Ki joined EMSO in 2018. She currently plays the cello in EMSO, but has also performed on the piano and bass in previous groups! She is also okayish at the guitar. In between rehearsals, she plays for church services in Columbia Heights. Outside of EMSO, Nahree works at 3M in biopharmaceutical separation and purification
Aaron Ruikka joined EMSO in the fall of 2015. Aaron works as direct support staff at North East Residence. He grew up in Hastings, MN and continues to live there. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games.
Sean Maysack joined EMSO in 2016. He plays a King 4B trombone. Sean currently works in IT. He grew up in the Chicago area and now lives in Hudson, WI. Sean currently serves as Financial Development Director on the EMSO Board.
